On wich section is it better to start the way of St James ?The best place to start the way of St James in France is usually from Le Puy En Velay, which is the historical start. Spending at least 2 nights in Le Puy En Velay if you have time is a good idea as there are many historical monuments to visit.
Starting on 23 May this year I will be walking from Le Puy to Conques. Can you advise what the 'average' weather is during these 10 days.
Thank youIt's very difficult to know how the weather will be, the walk go through Margeride et Aubrac (1 200 m high) but it is usually good enough for walking.
Two of us would like to walk from Le Puy to Conques at the end of July this year. Would it be worthwhile to spend an extra day in Conques at the end to explore or is Conques too small to warrant such attention. If we did, how much would the trip cost ?
